Passerelles et ententes DEC-BAC
Credit transfers and DEC-BAC agreements

Laval University is a leader in the recognition of credits from DEC technical education. This credit recognition can take the form of DEC-BAC agreements or credit transfers.

The primary objective of these DEC-BAC agreements and credit transfers is to reduce the amount of duplicated concepts from material already covered during the technical degree. The reduction of duplications will allow us to ensure a better transition between collegiate and university programs in the same field, and to ensure a greater coherence in the education program.

The bachelor of science in biology program offers several credit transfers and includes DEC-BAC agreements with programs in Applied Ecology 145.01 (Cégep de La Pocatière and Cégep de Sherbrooke), in Techniques in research and inventory in biology 145.02 (Cégep de Sainte-Foy), in Techniques in chemistry-biology 210.03 (Cégep de Lévis-Lauzon), in Laboratory techniques ? Biotechnology concentration 210.AA (Cégep de Lévis-Lauzon, Cégep de Sainte-Hyacinthe and Collège d'Ahuntsic), and in Bioecolgy 145.C0 (Cégep de Sainte-Foy, Cégep de Sherbrooke and Cégep de St-Laurent).
