Domaines de recherche :

Étude des microorganismes planctoniques (phytoplancton, archaea, bactéries, protistes) qui contribuent substantiellement aux stocks biologiques de carbone et aux fluctuations biochimiques de la matière organique dans l'océan. Recherche portant sur des questions comme : Combien de microorganismes (abondance et biomasse) y a-t-il dans la colonne d'eau? Qui sont ces microorganismes (diversité génétique et métabolique)? Que font-ils (croissance, activité et mortalité)?
